Therefore, Sanjay explicity claimed:
First of all, Sanjay Dadlani was born on September 16th 1978. Vimalananda died in 1983 (meaning that Dadlani was 5 years old at that time). Robert Svoboda (the actual disciple of Vimalananda) said: "One of his fiercest lessons to me was his dying in my arms on December 12, 1983. That heartbreak was itself a reprise of his first lesson, delivered within the first days of our friendship more than eight years before, when he had predicted that I would cremate him" (Reference).
Svoboda's first book, Aghora: At the left hand of God, was first published in 1986. Since Dadlani clearly said that he was with Vimalananda prior to Svoboda publishing his books (Vimalananda allegedly told Dadlani to wait for these books to come out), Dadlani was younger than 7 years old when he allegedly met Vimalananda! Svoboda only wrote about Vimalananda after he died. Even if Dadlani is correct about Vimalananda's date of death being changed (I doubt it), the date could not have been changed by much (as Svoboda published his first book in 1986). Of course, it would have taken at least (conservatively) one year to write this book. Consequently, Vimalananda would have died, at the latest, in 1985 (making Sanjay a spunky 7 years old tot).
So how did Dadlani, as a 7 year old child receive "secret instructions about tantra-sadhana" from Vimalananda, learn "sexual tricks" and why was he trying to make his penis stay erect for 30-40 minutes max, at the tender age of seven? Also, why (as a 7 year old child) would he be having sex, visualizing himself as Shiva and his partner as Shakti if his desire was basically for a "quick lay in the guise of spirituality"? This is exactly what Sanjay claimed happened to him when he was 7 years old!
As if this isn't ridiculous enough, on the Gaudiya Discussions site, Dadlani claimed: "1998 - While with this pseudo-guru, I had undertaken an orthodox study of AdvaitavAda philosophy as well as being taught Vama-marga Aghora by Vimalananda for a brief while" How was Dadlani being taught Vama-marga by Vimalananda in 1998, when he passed away in 1983 (15 years before Sanjay claimed he was taught by him)?
Another amusing contradiction is when Dadlani said, "So did I receive some 'secret tantra instructions' from him? No. I got it from his books, just like anyone can, as well as picking up some tips from his more senior disciples." Later, Dadlani said, "...but one particular instruction he gave me was that he intended Svoboda (even then) to write about his own experiences regarding Vimalananda, and that I should read those books. So really, a few personal secret instructions about tantra-sadhana coupled with the knowledge found in the Aghora trilogy is what I know of Vimalananda's 'philosophy'." Even after meeting such a great Aghori as vimalananda, Sanjay completely contradicted himself as to whether or not he received "secret instructions" from Vimalananda!
Dadlani also made unbelievable claims to knowing "sadhus in India who lived to be over 300 years old". What are their names and when did he meet them? Dadlani also said, "if you conserve your semen properly, you can live to be thousands of years old" (see my article A Seminal Discussion On Ojas, Urdhvaretas And Kishore Dadlani)! These type of statements sound like they come from someone who is thoroughly brainwashed and utterly gullible. Dadlani's disturbing claims, when combined with his other equally outrageous assertions and online behavior, gives the valid impresssion that Dadlani has a chronic and habitual propensity to lie and exaggerate.

Dadlani's response to Evakurvan was as follows:
Now, was I ever a disciple of Vimalananda? No. I met him on a few occasions and attended some of the informal lectures he used to hold in his house. This was a few months before he died. When I asked him about the possibilitiy of becoming his disciple [this was before I came to GV], he refused and said that his teachings would be published in some books, and that I should read those books. So did I receive some "secret tantra instructions" from him? No. I got it from his books, just like anyone can, as well as picking up some tips from his more senior disciples. As for the date of his death and my age at the time, this is pure nonsense. Anyone who has even a single clue about Vimalananda knows how enigmatic he was. He deliberately avoided certain situations just so he could avoid creating new karmic connections, which he felt were an obstacle towards his own deliverance. The date of his death was deliberately changed (read, put back to an earlier date) just so anyone who tried to seek out any records of him and his family could not do so. After his death, people have tried to seek his family out but they have moved away. To suggest that he died in 1983 and I was 5 years old, do you really think I am so stupid to talk about an episode of my life and open myself to criticism?
Therefore, Sanjay explicity claimed:
- That he personally met Aghori Vimalananda "on a few occasions and attended some of the informal lectures he used to hold in his house" a few months before he died.
- Asked Aghori Vimalananda about "the possiblity of becoming his disciple".
- Aghori Vimalananda personally told him that book would be published about him and that he should wait for those books to be published (meaning that no books had yet been published).
- That Aghori Vimalananda's date of death was put back to an earlier date.
- Sanjay stated that he did not receive "secret tantra instuctions" from Aghori Vimalananda (the significance of this will be made shortly).

To answer your question, yes I was fortunate to meet Vimalananda in person. When he unfortunately passed away, some authentic astologer who lived near the are said that it would be at least 10,000 years before someone like him will be born again. Maybe it is an exaggeration, but knowing Vimalananda it is quite believable.
To be honest, I cannot remember every single detail of my meetings with him since it was quite some time ago, but one particular instruction he gave me was that he intended Svoboda (even then) to write about his own experiences regarding Vimalananda, and that I should read those books. So really, a few personal secret instructions about tantra-sadhana coupled with the knowledge found in the Aghora trilogy is what I know of Vimalananda's "philosophy." I know this because I was there when Vimalananda told him not to go home, and I heard from the wife what happened afterwards.
Therefore, Sanjay explicity claimed:
- Again, that he personally met Aghori Vimalananda.
- Again, that that he met Aghori Vimalananda prior to Svoboda writing his books on the Aghori and was personally instructed by the Aghori to read those books when they came out.
- That he personally received a "few personal secret instructions about tantra-sadhana" from Aghori Vimalananda (which contradicts Sanjay's earlier claim that he did not receive "secret tantra instructions" from the Aghori).
On the former Istagosthi.org site Sanjay said the following (Reference):
What was my motivation to learn Aghora? At the time I had met Vimalananda who was a very great Aghori (it will be 10,000 years before someone like him is born again, thats how great he is) who convinced me that Maa was the supreme object of devotion. I was not a Vaishnava then, I was a Shaiva so I didn't really have any problems with this philosophy since worship of Shiva automatically includes his wife as well. So anyway I learnt all of these sexual tricks ansd may other Ahori rites of passage that are in fact extremely valuable to the spiritual aspirant who can be follwing ANY spiritual path. There are certain principles that are the common basis of all religions and spiritual paths, and I learnt these. Was I interested in Aghora to reach Maa, or wa smy devotion false and did I just want a quick lay in the guise of spirituality? Reflectively, it was obviously the latter in not so many words.
Since I was only a student (with incomlete training) I could last max 30-40 minutes. After I left my Aghora training and became a Vaishnava, I noted that some of my sexual and magical skills decreased a little, with the result that I became seriously depressed about the likelihood of becoming impotent earlier than expected.
He was afflicted with lust and was very keen on going home to have sex with his wife. Vimalananda repeatedly told him not to do so, knowing that what he was experiencing were the last throes of physical lust, but this guy thought he was too smart. So off he went home, had sex with his wife twice that night and fell asleep. In the morning he became a raving lunatic, babbling incoherently and spending 23 hours with his head underneath a cold tap. A day later he died. I know this because I was there when Vimalananda told him not to go home, and I heard from the wife what happened afterwards.
Therefore, Sanjay explicity claimed:
- Again, that he pesonally met Aghori Vimalananda.
- At the time of being with the Aghori, he learned "sexual tricks and many other Aghori rites of passage".
- That he was interested in Aghora because he wanted "a quick lay in the guise of spirituality".
- At that time, he was a student who learned how to keep his penis erect for 30-40 minutes max.
- That he was personally present when Aghori Vimalananda told a man not to have sex with his wife and not to go home.
